i think the "art party/crash gurilla art" idea is great. we need to draw attention to the new ba degree offered at uas. if we take a few hours to reach out to the community and offer them a chance to do some hands on creating, i think it would open up people to a new genre they may not be able to experience elsewhere. i think something on fire on the lake would be powerful and fun. maybe refreshment could be provided, like chili-dogs and hot cocoa. maybe. we need to hype it up and try to get a big turnout to show off our college. we should video tape the festivities and show the art party on you tube or the Alaska channel.to host the event around finals week may be nice offering students some reprive from the harshness of the classes.
